How a tool call works

  1. A customer asks something the agent cannot answer from its knowledge, such as “Where is order 10432?”
  2. The agent picks one of the tools you enabled for it and fills in the tool’s inputs.
  3. Ask calls the tool. For a webhook tool, that is an HTTPS POST to your endpoint.
  4. The agent reads your response as data, never as instructions, and answers the customer.
